Chapter 7 begins with God asking the Israelites who abandoned whom? Was it he who turned away from them? Or was it the Israelites who turned away?
Obviously it was the Israelites. But it is a question we should ask ourselves. There is question John Bytheway quotes in Isaiah for AirHeads, "If you feel further away from God today than you were yesterday, guess who moved?" Are we opening the door to the Lord? Are we inviting him in?
There are things that we can do to make sure we are inviting him into our lives. We can be sure to pray to him. We can make sure to read the scriptures, the word of God for us. We can live in a way the invites the spirit to our lives which will guide us on to the path of happiness. We could do our best to be obedient to the commandments of God, charitable to all those who cross paths with, have faith in Heavenly Father, repent when we make mistakes and when we have difficult times turn to the Lord and his Atonement.
