Ether 15

Ether 15 is the last chapter in Ether. Within it shows the destruction of an entire people. "There had been slain two millions of mighty men, and also their wives and their children" (2). That wasn't the end of it. It was only the beginning of the destruction of the people. There were two million. Then, because of their hardness of heart and hatred for others, they destroyed themselves.

You hear over and over the promise made in the Book of Mormon which reads: "Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written" (Ether 2:12).

Looking at our nation today, I worry. I really do. Are the people in the Americas continuing worshipping God and serving Him (whether they know it or not)? Are they doing things that are righteous and good? Because all good things come from God (Moroni 7:13).

Marion G. Romney answered this concern and said:
"The answer to this question is yes, if we shall individually repent and conform to the laws of the God of this land, who is Jesus Christ" ("America's Destiny").
Do what is righteous and good, even if you don't fully believe, do good. You'll be blessed. You really will be. Test it out. Really. Test it.
